Regional Vector Widefield Medium Scan Experiment

This is an experiment designed to provide medium cadence time coverage of E and F region ionospheric parameters in the vicinity of Millstone Hill, in a cone with radius +/- 2 degrees at F region heights as well as widefield spatial information. Two modes are used for mid-latitude coverage, and the experiment alternates between them. Mode 1 provides vector ion drifts/electric fields as well as electron density, electron and ion temperatures, and ion composition. Both the zenith and steerable MISA antennas are used. Integration time in any one position is 190 seconds. Mode 2 provides a vertical E/F region profile plus a wide rapid regional scan at 6 deg elevation over a 105 degree azimuth sweep terminating southwest.
